Our plans cover a wide range of typical home issues that we've solved for clients over the years. The breadth of our coverage means you only need one plan.
When you experience a breakdown, Setter will manage all diagnostics, repairs and replacements, consulting you along the way. When something goes wrong simply call or message through the Setter app.
There isn't a complicated form or legal jargon necessary to make a claim. Setter will simply charge you $50 for any work included by the plan, and the rest is covered (up to a maximum category coverage).
If you don't submit a claim within a calendar year of coverage, Setter will provide you with a credit for 40% of your annual plan price to be used towards home upgrades and improvements.
Here are some of the questions we hear most frequently from clients about our plan.
The Setter Protect plan has coverage spanning appliances (see below), plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling.
Appliance coverage includes: Refrigerators, Ranges, Ovens, Cooktops, Clothes Washers, Clothes Dryers and Dishwashers.
For each category, there is a maximum coverage amount that is included in this plan. After that coverage amount has been used, Setter will require the client to pay for the remainder of work completed.

There are some items that are not included in the plan. Setter reserves the right to refuse coverage for items specified in the terms of coverage. This full terms of coverage can be downloaded here.
Setter accepts credit card payments for monthly and quarterly billing, and can accept debit cards and e-transfers for plans on annual billing.
Refunds are possible if requested less than 10 days after the sign-up date and no claims have been made.
If a refund is requested less than 10 days after the sign-up date, but a claim has been made, the payment will be refunded once the services rendered are paid in full.
Yes. Setter can provide clients a credit towards on-demand services (including home upgrades, improvements, or other items not covered in the plan) equal to 40% of the annual plan price, as long as the client not requested claims in the past 12 months.
This credit is on the condition that the client renews their plan for the next cycle.
Example: For the $49/month plan, at the end of 12-months after the coverage starts, $235.20 to spend in Setter on-demand services. Reach out to Setter to learn about the available services.
Plan coverage begins 24hrs after receipt of initial payment is received and continues for 12 months from the starting date.
Renewals will occur automatically 12 month after the sign-up date.
Cancellations can be made by either yourself of Setter at any time.
To cancel your coverage, contact Setter directly through phone or email. If you cancel your plan, your coverage limited to the payment period.
If Setter cancels your plan, and you paid a lump sum for annual coverage, Setter will refund your plan on a pro rata basis.
The plan covers only a single residential property. Any equipment used in commercial facilities, in common areas or shared by more than one unit is not subject to coverage. If a property is split into multiple residences, the plan will only cover one single contained family residence.
If you are moving residential dwellings, first transfer your Plan if in our coverage area. Your old plan and conditions will be transferred to the new address. Please contact Setter via phone or email 30 days before moving for transfer. At that point, cancel your plan based on Cancellation conditions.
Setter reserves the right to modify conditions of this plan from time to time. Setter will communicate any modifications to this plan at least 30 days in advance.
